Beach City, CA
Chocolate City N LBC is an urban community web site which
serves as a collective voice of Long Beach's African American residents.
Representing a multitude of professional business owners, social
organizations and churches - Long Beach is recognized for its rich
diversity with precisely two-thirds of its population consisting of
Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and other diverse ethnic groups.
Many celebrities and professional athletes have
claimed Long Beach to be their home, including NFL linebacker, Willie
MaGinest, rapper Snoop Dogg and the late Nat King Cole, giving our
city worldwide recognition.
While Chocolate City N LBC doesn't claim the title
or the prestige of the original Chocolate City of Washington D.C.,
through its inspiration we believe that people give a savoring flavor
to any Chocolate City. Thus, our concept is simple - there’s a
chocolate city in every city across America.
The mission of Chocolate City N LBC is to:
- Provide a professional and social network for
African Americans while cultivating relationships with other ethnic
groups.
- Use the media to help keep African Americans
informed of issues and interests pertaining to us.
- To serve as a political platform to express
our voice on issues affecting the community.
